Mani in Arte 2 is a project created to bridge two worlds that rarely engage in structured dialogue: cultural and creative enterprises and traditional businesses. It is a project that focuses on the cross-fertilisation of languages and skills, transforming the encounter between art and production into an opportunity for mutual enrichment. With Ortoteatro, the project takes a further step, opening up a third and decisive challenge: to bring this initiative into the social sphere, involving people in vulnerable situations and extending the initiative’s impact beyond the cultural and economic spheres. Mani in Arte 2 develops along three main lines. The first concerns the dialogue between artists and traditional businesses. Through collaborative projects, artists interpret the identity, values and excellence of these companies, creating works that convey their vision through a contemporary lens. The second focus is art as a tool for inclusion. Art workshops organised in collaboration with social cooperatives involve people facing vulnerability, transforming the creative experience into an opportunity for participation, self-expression and personal growth. Art thus becomes a concrete means of transformation, both as individual and collective. The third initiative is the creation of an open-air art gallery, an ever-evolving project that is enriched each year with new works and collaborations. A widespread, accessible and shared heritage that offers to the local area a vivid account of the convergence of culture, business and community. It is on this principle that the unveiling of “i-Dea” begins – the new sculpture by Mauro Fornasier of Ortoteatro, hosted by Latofres, a key partner in the project.
